SCHOOL & EDUCATOR CORNER
Some updates from the Department of Basic Education:
  • Mrs Motshekga has been reappointed as the Minister for Basic Education and Dr Reginah Mhaule has been appointed as the new Deputy Minister for Basic Education.
  • Minister Motshekga identified the major focus areas for the next administration being related to issues of quality and efficiency and providing citizens with a dividend of democracy.
  • After a signed a Bilateral Agreement on Cooperation in Basic Education with the Republic of Kenya, Kiswahili, the Kenyan official language, is now being offered in South African schools as a non-official language.
In our previous newsletter, we mentioned how schools could earn extra money through fund raising. We have had a fantastic response and encourage all schools that have not taken up this offer, to do so! Here's how it works.

EARN EXTRA MONEY FOR YOUR SCHOOL

We have developed a coupon code system now
so that schools can earn cash back for fund raising!

This is an easy way to earn money for your school as well as encourage parents to support their children during the term.

If you are interested in raising funds, please:
  1. email [email protected]
  2. and we will send you a unique coupon code your school can use for fund raising.
For every parent that signs up to the E-Classroom platform, we will donate R10.00 back to your school. Simply include the unique code in your parent communication and we will do the rest!
