With mocks upon us and finals in October,
here are some study tips that will help learners revise:
- Suggest learners prepare a calendar with their scheduled exams
- During class time, highlight important details, ask questions to clarify any confusing information, anticipate exam questions and look for answers
- Suggest the use of flashcards. Flashcards are handy for reviewing vocabulary, grammar rules, historical facts and dates, geographical statistics, mathematical formulas and foreign language phrases
- Mind maps are also useful to organise and understand information faster and better
- A dedicated WhatsApp study group helps learners share notes and discussions + last-minute clarifications with their peers
- Practise using past papers or example questions
- In-class collaborative group discussions can promote critical, analytical and independent thinking
- Set example questions of different kinds for practice
- Solve any problems that have not been dealt with previously
- Encourage learners to recharge by making sure they are following a healthy diet, sleep and exercise
